Im so sorry that I have not been posting up Today's Look or any blog post in the last one week. I know there is no excuses but there really is :S
First the preparation for Raya, I was helping mom with all her cookies and tarts order.
Then we were away for Raya and the internet connection was so low that I could not upload any Today's Look onto the blog page :(
But now with a little bit more internet connection, here's Today's Look;
Im sure by now most of you heard or watched the teaser for the upcoming movie Vikingdom that will be out next year and saw how beautiful and talented Natassia Malthe (Brynna) is. Famously known from the movie Elektra, Natassia Malthe is just an ordinary down to earth person to be with. During her time shooting the movie Vikingdom I got the opportunity to get to know her (I was working as the Production Assistant on Vikingdom) and she is more amazing and beautiful in person then she is on screen.
She asked if she could wear a pair of Nawal Jes during her interviews for the upcoming movie, and of course I said yes!!!! So off the Putrajaya we went, after a little lunch we when up to the room and started laying our shoes out to choose which on fits her outfit best :) We agreed on GreyMatter, and it fits and look so perfect on her.
Isn't she gorgeous, and Nawal Jes looks AMAZING ON HER!!
But the sad thing is we found out once we got to the interview room that we won't be able to see the shoes, but Natassia tried to goof around and ask if she could sit in a position where the shoes would be seen. It was so nice of her and I'm so thankful for her support in my brand.
Heres the few position she tried so that the shoe would be seen in the interview, ahahaha.
So after all the goofing around the interview started, after a few question and answer been going back and forth they were in a flow, and as she was answering one of the question, suddenly you could hear,
(hand on my forehead, and i was thinking to my self please don't let that be me please)
and at the same time everyone turn and looked at me.
God it is me!!!
They had to call cut, and re shoot the question. And i could not stop apologising. (DUH Nawal how many times have you been on shoot and yet you forget to silent your phone. COME ON!!) But everything turn out good at the end :)
With the Beautiful and talented Natassia Malthe.
Here's the interview, you may not see the shoes but you would sure love what you'll see :
and for thoese who have not seen the teaser here it is, enjoy;
So since I have been shooting, it just so happen that at some point on every shoot we would end up in Ipoh. I think this year its self if I put all the days of me being in Ipoh together, I would say I was a residence of Ipoh for 2 Months. And I LOVE IT!!!
So after exploring or more off walking around trying to find food when I was back in Ipoh beginning of this year I stumble across a shop that would help me produce things for my next project (yes it's a secret, you would just have to wait to find out what it is)
So yesterday me, my brother and my Helm (Hetero life mate/my bestfriend/Aneez) went up to Ipoh for a day trip. And the only thing I have to direct us to this shop was an address of a street near by that I note down few months back. (Not to sure why that day i didn't write the address of the road its self down instead the address of the road few blocks down)
So once we got to Ipoh it was a scavenger hunt for this shop. And once we actually found it, it moved 4 blocks down with a map on the door redirecting us to their new shop. But to my disappointment they stop doing the service that I wanted and needed for my next project.
But on a good note, we got to walk around, and I LOVE walking in Ipoh. They have hidden treasure everywhere and one of my fav is this old antique glasses shop, I have been wanting to purchase a sunglasses from them for months now, but finally decided which ones I want but for that another trip to IPOH, YEAY!!!
Here is the one i want!!! God I love an Antique Piece.
As for our next project heres a little clue, it has something to do with…… Shoes!!! DUH!!!
But for that Penang here we come!!!!
Here are some picture from Ipoh;
I love an old wall or building that is still kept, the stories are in the lines and the cracks.
Here's a couple more, dont you just love it!!!
Vogue Daily writes:
“Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.” Wise words from Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, the legendary designer who would have turned 129 years old on Sunday, and who is most certainly remembered for her own impeccable style. We do, after all, have her to thank for the timelessly chic tweed jackets, quilted bags, and LBDs that are synonymous with her namesake line and have become the uniform of understated elegance. Today, 103 years after she founded the brand, Chanel continues to be one of the most successful design houses in the world, proving as Coco so eloquently once said “fashion passes, style remains.” Here, in honor of her birthday, we bring you our favorite images of Chanel in Vogue.
So as brows though fashion blog I’ve noticed hints of pink everywhere this season. Even on the home page of the Vogue online site Lady Gaga is shown wearing a big pink hat. Whether its a neon pink, dusty pink or pastel pink I think its going to be an important color to incorporate into our wardrobes this season. Lucky for you we have two amazing pairs of pink shoes!
How to wear it: Pink goes great with white, adding a pop of colour to an otherwise flat look. It also fits in perfect with the new gold trend. A few gold accessories and your good to go!

NJM is where we match a Nawal Jes shoe to an outfit. This week we have another match from our Monday Match Madness pair up. Turns out that that amazing rich olive colored MICHAEL Michael Kors jumper is perfect match to two more Nawal Jes Shoes. "The First" and "Brown"Nawal Jes Shoes go great with this draped halter jumpsuit. Also if you already bought the Kendra Scott Anisley Gold Cuff from this weeks Monday Match Madness post you'll be pleased to hear it definitely is especially recommended match to "The First" Nawal Jes Shoe and goes well with the "Brown". See for your self...
The usual Moday Match Madness may have come late this week but it definitely was worth the wait. This match up will last you all the way though next season. Hot Summer days are no where near over yet the nights are getting cooler; letting us know fall will be here in no time. So what do we ladies? Continue to shop for this hot summer season or start shop for fall fashions? I say we kill two birds with one stone! And what better way to do it then with this rich olive colored MICHAEL Michael Kors draped halter jumpsuit, a pair of Nawal Jes GrayMatter shoe and a Kendra Scott Anisley Gold Cuff to accent the gold drawstring necklace in the jumpersuit. Sexy, chic, and most of all it’s a polyester/spandex blend; so you know it’s breathable and comfortable. All three of there’s pieces will transition absolutely perfectly from summer to into fall! Who say you can have everything?
Even though in the fashion industry we don’t play “sports” we still jump though massive huddles everyday. Just like the real Olympics we are always competing on an international level to be the best. Just being able to wear half the things on the market is a challenge in itself. Any women who’s ever walked around in McQueen Armadillo Platforms deserves a bronze and an honorary gold medal if she actually makes it onto a podium without tripping. The PR end of fashion is defiantly a game of Olympic proportion as well. Being able effectively blogging, tumblr, tweeting, amongst other things like successfully party hop to network takes legitimate skill. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to see some of our athletes trying to compete in couture? Now thats something I would watch.
The forthcoming issue of Vanity Fair is going to feature some NYC-famous subjects and cause quite the commotion in SoHo yesterday in the process. Crowed swarmed around the cobble stone street where Lauren Santo Domingo was being shot sitting on a car in an alley “looking ridiculously glamorous and pregnant.” Mayor Bloomberg and Arianna Huffington where being photographed as well by Annie Leibovitz which may have added to the crowds intrigue.
Even though I’m not incredibly fond of the perfume; I did love the theme of the ad and what Mila Kunis was wearing in it. In the beginning she’s shown exiting a chauffeured car wearing an amazing black dress and long leather gloves. The big bow she wears in her hair and Dior chain strap bag towards the end is by far my favorite part. Everything was just so elegant and glamorous; just the way it would have been if Kunis actually where a 1950’s movie star.
"Primary pieces, with a little python to boot, thrive in the concrete jungle." Want to get the look? Here's how:
